What we offer

Conservation-inspired arboriculture for gardens, landscapes, significant trees, and conservation-focused projects.

The following services reflect our approach to arboriculture.

Our clients include residential and lifestyle properties with significant trees, landowners, estate managers, and conservation organisations but also clients who simply love their trees and want their trees managed with care and skill.

Tree Care & Management

  • Our pruning work focuses on improving tree structure, longevity, and safety while retaining as much natural form and habitat value as possible.

We listen to our clients’ concerns, whether it’s safety, invasive species or letting in more light, and offer options for achieving these while keeping the tree and its environment intact.

Because pruning and reduction makes up a large part of our work, so we’ve written more about our pruning and reduction work.

You can find it here: Let’s talk pruning and reduction

A note on removals: we understand sometimes it really is necessary for the tree to be removed (such as invasive species, risk management and relation to infrastructure). We’re also able to offer this advice and service. There’s often a conversation to explore the different options available that balance the needs of the tree, the land and the people.

  • Large properties and estates often contain trees that are both valuable and complex to manage. We provide careful, considered tree care that balances safety, aesthetics, and ecological value.

Our approach prioritises retention, thoughtful pruning, and long‑term stewardship of important trees.

Access and Assessments

  • Using advanced rope‑based climbing techniques, we access tree canopies safely and with minimal impact. This allows us to inspect trees closely, carry out careful pruning, collect material, or assist with monitoring and research.

This approach is particularly suited to mature trees, sensitive environments, and sites where machinery would cause unnecessary disturbance.

Want to learn more? We’ve written more about canopy access here.

  • We provide clear, practical advice to support informed decisions about tree management, including site visits, tree assessment, and input into wider landscape or conservation plans.

Ecology and Conservation

  • Trees provide essential habitat. We can support the ecological value of trees through the creation or retention of habitat features such as hollows, cavities, and deadwood.

These interventions are carefully considered to ensure they support biodiversity while maintaining tree stability and site safety.

  • We work alongside ecologists, researchers, and conservation organisations to support the biodiversity and health of our environment.

Our work may include canopy access for seed collection, aerial planting, management of invasive species, trapping and other specialised tasks that support ecological research and restoration projects.

How We Work On Site

Our approach to tree work is guided by care for the tree, the land it grows in, and the people who live alongside it.

Valuing client relationships
Thoughtful tree care begins with understanding. Getting to know your site, trees and needs is our first priority. Good information and careful planning lead to good outcomes.

Low-impact access
We use rope-based climbing and rigging techniques to access trees with precision, avoiding unnecessary damage to surrounding ground, planting, and structures.

Thoughtful pruning
Our pruning and reduction focuses on long-term structure, health, and balance, rather than short-term clearance or uniform shaping.

Habitat-aware decisions
We consider the role each tree plays as habitat, retaining features such as deadwood where safe, and carrying out work in a way that minimises disturbance to wildlife.

Keeping organic material as a first option
Rather than automatically removing all cut material, we look for opportunities to leave mulch, timber, or smaller branches on site where appropriate. This helps return nutrients to the soil, supports moisture retention, and reduces unnecessary waste and keeps reduces for clients.
